2023 Deadline

The deadline to file your federal tax return and pay any federal income taxes you owe is Monday, April 15, 2024.

If you are unable to file before that date, you still have options. You can file for an extension. Filing an extension gives you an additional six months to October 15, 2024, to submit a complete return. Due to state holidays residents of Maine and Massachusetts have until Tuesday, April 17, 2024.

The IRS encourages businesses to begin planning now to take advantage of tax benefits available to them when they file their 2023 federal income tax return.
